CaptionWala (https://captionwala.digitoria.in) is a product of Digitoria Marketing Solutions Pvt. Ltd. By using the service you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If the terms change we will update them on the website and change the “last updated” date.

CaptionWala generates captions automatically from video or audio. Speech is recognised into text, and that text is then rendered as Roman Hinglish, English or a native script. You can edit it and export MP4, SRT, ASS or a plain transcript.

This is produced by AI, not by a person. Accuracy depends on audio quality, background noise and accent. We do not promise 100% accuracy — which is why there is an editor, and why lines the AI was unsure about are flagged. Reading the captions before you publish them is your responsibility.

Creating an account needs a valid email address. Keeping the account and its password secure is your responsibility — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

One person, one account. Creating several accounts to get more free minutes is not allowed, and such accounts may be closed.

The service is not for anyone under 18.

You own your video, your audio and the captions produced from them. We claim no rights over any of it.

The video never reaches our servers — the browser extracts only the audio and sends that, so the transcription can happen. That audio sits in your own account and is removed when you delete the project.

We do not sell your content to anyone, and we do not give it to anyone to train an AI model.

You may not use the service for:

• Content you do not own or do not have permission to use
• Anything illegal, or anything intended to harm someone
• Faking a person’s voice, or fabricating statements they did not make
• Reverse engineering the service, or reselling it without permission
• Sending bulk requests through automated tools, or trying to defeat rate limits
• Creating multiple accounts to get around the free limits

Breaking these can have the account closed without a refund.

Plans and their rates are on the pricing page. All rates are in Indian Rupees, and any applicable taxes are charged on top.

Every plan includes a number of transcription minutes each month. Minutes are counted from the actual length of the video, once. Editing, changing style, switching script mode and exporting again cost nothing. Audio enhance re-transcribes, so it is counted again.

Unused minutes do not carry over to the next month. The quota resets by itself after 30 days.

We do our best to keep the service running, but we do not promise 100% uptime. Maintenance, upgrades or an outside service going down can interrupt it.

Transcription relies on third-party AI services. If those go down, the feature can stop with them. If that leaves the service unusable for an extended period, that portion is refunded.

The service is provided “as is”. There is no guarantee of caption accuracy, of fitness for any particular purpose, or of uninterrupted operation.

To the extent the law allows: our total liability for any loss will not exceed what you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for reputational damage, missed work or business losses caused by publishing an incorrect caption.

Checking the captions before publishing is your responsibility — that is what the editor is for.

You can close your account at any time — email hello@digitoria.in.

We will only close an account where these terms have been broken, or where the law requires it. We will tell you by email before doing so, unless the law prevents us.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Ajmer, Rajasthan.
